Off the top of Sugarbowl is absolutely the way to go. Plus you can now get an uphill pass for free to just skin up Lincoln.Yes, yes it is. Did you make it there? Pictures? |

Nope, we didn't make it, our legs we had no idea how much further it was, were exhausted and concerned about making it back out before dark. Another goal for another weekend I guess. We found a little ice in the tunnels. Rainbow's also not in. |

Yeah, I saw the awesome map after making it home. We'd have killed for it while we were out there. My buddy was justifiably concerned about avi risk skiing from Sugar Bowl, so we went the long way. No idea what the snow will look like next weekend, but I spent an hour or two breaking trail through boot to knee deep powder on 115 width powder skis, so there's a lot back there. If you hit it soon there's probably a pretty good skin track 75+% of the way out there (or maybe heading off in the wrong direction. |

Hey what days will you will be in tahoe some random guy (name?)?? |

Im not sure if we are going to make it a day trip or bring overnight gear and climb Saturday and Sunday. If youre still interested and up for a slog PM me. |

I think a meet up would be great! I'm going to check on sunny side tomorrow and will let people know. I would like to start a local night climb if anyone is interested? We started one in Bozeman and it went from a couple of people to a great group. |

Topher, I'm planning an ice road trip in Feb. for my B-day. I'm up for Ouray! I used to live in Durango and know the area well. I'm planning on taking 2-3 weeks. I'll hit Ouray first, then up to Cody for the fest, then onwards to Bozeman. If time allows and partner willing it's up to Canmore/Banff. |
|
Hey all, I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll also be looking for ice partners this season, and would be interested in a meetup. I did a bit of it in NH a couple years back, really dug it, bought the gear, then moved out here and didn't get out last season at all. |
|
we should have a big (not too big!) norcal ice climbing meetup. maybe meet up at a bart station or something? christmas week/new year would probably be a good time. |
|
Thanks Rich, I think it will help. I put my info up. Not on here all the time. It will help with finding partners last min. and easy contact. I don't have everyone in my phone. This will help with me trying to dig up old text and emails. |

Added myself to the list. |

I have a Toyota truck and I'm planning on sleeping in or around it.( I know where to camp/friends) Anyway I would meet you out in Ouray, unless you'd want to carpool during any part of the trip. The partner that I was going to take is starting to back out. I'm thinking of starting a thread looking for a partner but if you're interested let me know.Tom may be having same issues Pm you about details |
