A midget can shoot a turkey. Now catching the bird with yer bare hands..that's a reals man's job. Not to get off subject, but I have caught many good sized lobsters out of the ocean in La Jolla with my bare hands this past year! That was good hunting!
I've got a bow too,,,get to at least use it in back yard anytime. Have dove in cold waters off Boston for lobster too.
Illinois is finally joining the rest of the USA and allowing conceal and carry laws. I've got all the needed training, just waiting for state webpages to get their ass in gear and file the paperwork. You have no idea how many victims just walk about minding their own business here near Chicago getting shot dead by assholes and gangs. NOW the assholes will have to think twice, and I do hope they get an unhappy surprise soon after the law takes effect in 2014. We need our streets and neighborhoods back, and I'm not toting around my HungerGames bow and arrow to do that. Right now, they have no fear, no reason to respect any citizen out there.

Check with the workers working Thanksgiving (when u drop off that plate of food) to see if they all oppose it as much as you think they do .
If they choose to work it and have the opportunity to, I agree and have no issue whatsoever. I've been told by previous employers that if I was not available on Thanksgiving (and other holidays such as Christmas), I no longer had a job. We're talking about two different situations. I would never claim someone who wants the shift and has the opportunity should be "forced" to take the day off. I just think that's not the case the majority of the time as workers who are not available to work these days are often punished with reduced shifts or terminated employment. In those situations, I think it's garbage.

As for Saguaro Sandy (which may or may not be the most recent iteration of Eleanor), that requires no response. Her position is that it is a privilege to be forced to work on Thanksgiving for pitiful wages and that submitting to that somehow reflects a willingness to work hard and those who dispute it are somehow lazy and entitled. If I'm lazy and entitled for thinking that we should try and limit consumerism and allow people the day off on a National Holiday, then so be it. You can get up a 3 AM to quiz some hourly employee about the benefits of a 50 inch flatscreen over the 48 inch one you already own. That employee should definitely feel privileged. And don't confuse hard work with extortion. If you get someone to do something because they don't have another alternative, it's not hard work. Work is like climbing; you get much better results with efficiency than simply putting in long hours. Long hours on the job and working hard are not synonymous.

I think you NEED long hours of climbing. Especially when it comes to big wall.

Retail sucks. This is my first Black Friday off in 6 years and I never appreciated waking up at 3 in the morning to go deal with hordes of the rudest customers I would have to interact with all year. It is out of control and excessive.

Shouldn't you be at work right now? You're lazy and entitled.

Our ice silo should be ready for tomorrow night...should be a bit of early season fun to get out and pull some ice down on our heads.

Sounds like lots of fun! Take a picture of it and put it on ice porn thread!
