Shingo's helmet from last night if you need more proof they're a good idea.

Hey all- it looks like the deductible amount has been met at the link above- YAY! But.... that means we can no longer donate. Is there an additional online place to help with all the other f@#ing expenses like time off from work, meds, new helmet and eventually beer? SHINGO and COBE WILL NEED BEER. IME? Love these guys, hoping for lightspeed recovery.

I second the sam123456789 comment, any way we can increase the deductible or donate another way? I guess I could just stop by the shop and donate there or leave some gear in the consignment shop in his name (hey there's a great idea!).

Yesterday was the first time I had not seen Shingo smile since meeting him, he said it hurt too much to smile. Probably the most positive, motivated, & chill climber I have ever met.

I bet he'll onsite LCC 5.12 off the couch someday soon again.....

Heal up.

Damn. This kind of stuff happens to everyone, period. The more time out the more opportunities to get hurt. Get well man and keep pullin' down. The only way to get past this is climb past it.

sending lots of healing love to Shingo; glad that goofball is alive and healing.
Andrew Burr, does he need anything at the hospital? treats? crossword books, etc? Happy to drop some things to him or to you if trying to keep the crowds to a minimum..

I've never met Shingo but love to hear the positive words from other climbers about him. Here's hoping he heals up fast.
