Climbing in LCC tomorrow, too wet?

I'm going to be in SLC for the first time this weekend and the weather is looking perfect on Saturday for some south-facing climbing in LCC. I'm thinking of checking out one of the crags in the lower canyon, like Gate Buttress.

What are things looking like now? Will it be too wet from the recent snow?

You should be okay.

I was up there today and everything was pretty much totally dry

Be prepared to deal with hordes of wasps camping out on your favorite holds.

Tis LCC wasp season. Found this guy today. Others were not so welcoming.

LCC still good? flying in to head to Moab on the 20th and wanted to get in a single pitch route or two to stretch my legs. Wondering if it was snowed in or what?

thanks!

Looks like it would be possible to climb some routes, especially lower down in the canyon. Might be easier to just climb in Moab though.

Some buddies climbed at the egg today, and said it was t-shirt weather.

Zing!

After seeing this thread pop up, I got out to the egg yesterday afternoon. Perfect temperature in the sun. Should be nice today too.

The approach is nasty and slick, and watch out for rockfall. Just before heading out, a 4 foot boulder came tumbling down the gully between crescent crack and the egg!

Anybody been up to the Kermits/Perhaps area during winter? Kind've want to go work on All Chalk No Action (obviously after this storm ends)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
