Shoe repair question

For all the shoe guys out there.

Can you repair the leather on the top of the toe box on a pair of climbing shoes? I had them resoled a while back and recently wore a hole in the leather. Really like the shoes and the rubber is damn near brand new. I was hoping I could stop the hole from eventually ruining the shoes completely.

Thanks in advance

A cobbler can patch the hole with either a piece of leather or a piece of rubber. It's kind of like patching a hole in a pair of jeans, ugly but functional. Not quite the same feel, but better than having a hole in your shoe.

You could glue a patch of felt from the inside if you didn't want to get it professionally fixed. Or tape inside and shoe goo outisde

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
