 2013 Annual BoulderFest Competition OCTOBER 26th-27th 2013 Halloween Weekend Time to pack-up your crash pads and head out to the Halloween Boulderfest at City of Rocks - New Mexico Boulder while wearing your scariest or weirdest Halloween costume! Or just come and crush all weekend. FREE Registration www.desertshaman.com B.Y.O. Party down with people just like you at the evening gatherings. BOULDERFEST EVENT (Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th) Enjoy unique desert bouldering and celebrate the beginning of a New Climbing Season. Meet climbers in this region. Get beta and see cool routes get crushed. It's free (park fees apply). BOULDERING COMP. (Saturday 26th) The V-Point Comp. originated at City of Rocks in 2008 and since then has spread to other Bouldering Comps. throughout the Nation. It's Free again this year but you MUST REGISTER . RULES - Only established boulder problems can be entered, as published in the City of Rocks Bouldering Guide - Record your sends on a official score card and add your points up. Turn the Score Card in before 6pm and you could be a WINNER! - V0's are worth 1/2 a point and V1 - V10 is worth its numeric value. - Turn in Score Cards before 6pm (5 point deduction for late cards) - Repeat boulder problems don't count. - You must have a witness sign your card. One look at the Southern Mountain USA Climbing schedule shows no sanctioned competitions at City of Rocks, NM that leads to regionals. usaclimbing.net/regional/re… I wonder if these companies even know they're "sponsoring" this event. Which were given to climbers who went to the event and participated. They would get a good laugh as well...Do your homework before uttering such worthless delusions. Sorry you didn't get any free gear. Better luck next year.In 2012 the OP says he's been doing this comp for "almost a decade" but in 2011 he say's "FACT: I've been doing this for 5 years now."
