Thanks for posting, John.

Yes, a group of us is looking to re-open the gym with a completely new business model, a gym that is managed by its members as a group. There will be a rotating board of managing members, and any money earned will go back into the gym.

There will normally be a one-time $100 initiation fee for new members, but we are waiving that fee for the first 40 members to pay for an annual membership.

Please check out www.summitclimbing.org for more information.

I have lived in Grand County since 2008. I joined the Chizzled Fit Gym and got in great shape. I have since built a garage climbing wall of my own in Kremmling. There seems to be a generation gap in the interested climbers for your co-op (young climbers, no money). I would join again, but the commute is too extreme on top of annual fees. Please contact my buddy in Utah at ATOMIK climbing holds. They will hook you up with thousands of holds at just above cost if you give them your story. Tell them Tom Adamson from NWS gave you the information. Here is his information: send an email to kenny@atomikclimbingholds.com
call 801-404-0280.
My friends have successfully opened, ran a climbing gym, and would be happy to get you hardware, etc.
Good luck. Might visit soon if you re-open. I still have a punch pass to Chizzled Fit, maybe you could honor it for trade in holds.
