In the process of recovering from ACL reconstruction and am trying to scope out alpine climbs with moderate approaches. Looking for shorter distances with less loose, bouldery, choss-hoping. Climbs can be rock, snow or ice. Thanks in advance.

Aprons of Mt Evans? Short but there's always going to be some choss-hoping... Good luck with the recovery!

Hallets, Zowie, Cathedral Wall, or is that still too long?

I think the Sky Pond climbs might be a bit far, but Hallet's may be doable? I am just over 4 months post op and more than likely be cleared to return to the alpine by early October, so trying to put together my todo list. Thanks.

Yea.. I figured it would be.. kind of out of character for me and I apologize. Probably been spending too much time on here b/c of an injury myself. Good luck with your recovery.

Are you looking for local objectives? There are a couple things in the Sierra that come to mind...

Yes, hence posting in the Colorado & Rocky Mountain Forum...Sierras would be a big gamble on a new ACL.

Also, what about Evans? I have not, but hear the approaches are light.

As for the Sky Pond, I recommended those (Cathedral, and Zowie) because you are on
a nice trail most of the way, and they are closer (a bit) than up the hill at Sky Pond.

I'll try to think of some more for ya... Good luck man!
