Looking for a trad mentor - Estes park

I recently moved to the Estes area, and i am looking to break into the world of trad. I have a pretty good rack (gear not tits) for the area. I can red point sport 9s, follow on 10s and occasionally TR 11s. I'm looking for someone to teach me the fundamentals of anchor rigging, and the method of trad multi pitch. If you have a little bit of time and wouldn't mind showing a newb the ropes it would be greatly appreciated!

No no no! Of course i know how to build an anchor. But I've been doing sport anchors and lots of canyoneering anchors. I've read several books about trad anchors and I've been practicing on the ground. I just want someone that can give me some confidence in what I've been doing. Or maybe i just need someone that will lead me up a few climbs so i can affirm what I've already learned.

I only gym climb in the winter

Hey Josh,
Welcome to Estes.
I teach trad leading courses one weekend a month in Boulder Canyon and Eldo. Please check-out the information on the trad seminar on our website and feel free to write/call with questions: eli@climbinglife.com
I'm leading a climbing trip in Peru at the moment and will be back in Estes this weekend.
We also offer weekend multi-pitch seminars that involve learning very helpful amga systems and techniques.
cheers,
Eli

Eli is top notch, I took the course he mentions above a couple years back and had a great experience. Money well spent - you'll learn everything you need to know to get out there on your own.

Hey Josh,

I second what Kris has to say about Eli, you will learn a ton from him and if you are looking for an Estes master go no further. I took my guide's assessment with him and he showed this old dog a few pretty slick tricks that I use in my trad game quite frequently. Well worth the $$.

I have a lot of multipitch experience, give me a call 530-945-6577

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
