Fun variation on the big ledge to the left. Get up into the slabby dihedral w/ finger crack, then transition to the hand crack(s) to the right, 5.8/9. Easy to get back to the OG route at the top.
The entrance to the Regular Route, scramble up the 3rd class gully to a tree and reach a nice platform to belay from.

Middle of the night hoisting my kayak up the route so I could get a first decent on the waterfall directly above lower yosemite falls.
Taken in October, after the water is low. Yosemite Falls pools are so beautiful. A nice prize at the end of the climb.

Top of second pitch looking up. Go up the well protected crack on the right.
The field of boulders where you should start your descent after traversing the climber's trail. The end has a few short switchbacks that will lead you to this boulder field in front of the horse stables. The descent was mild with maybe one weird move.

First Pitch of the Regular Route, Sunnyside Bench. A large boulder has broken off about 15ft below the tree and landed on the platform above the 3rd class scramble. It makes for a nice bench to belay from, however, the remaining boulder appears quite precarious and looks to be held in by another torso sized boulder. I climbed around it to the left to avoid dislodging, it is now a more difficult climb. Use extreme caution!
Easy 2 raps all of the way down the gully to the bottom of the 3rd class start with 70m doubles!
