I'm looking for a good samaritan in the Boulder area who can show me how to release tension on the haul bag line and attach it to the belay and then release the bag from said anchor without having to lift the bag yourself and/or without a partner. I've done a bit of reading on the web but so far have not been able to find anything that is super clear - I'm also the type of person who learns by doing. So, if you'd like to spend some time after work one evening (or maybe even at the climbing gym if it's possible to do there) teaching a hopeful big wall climber some tips it would be much appreciated and you'd certainly be compensated for your time in beer and/or some other alcoholic beverage of your choice!

Are you trying to get ready for a solo wall? I can show you how to do all of that. its rather easy and would really only take about 20-30 minutes to show you. when are you free?

Load releasable hitch; look up mariners hitch (aka mariners knot) or radium hitch which is used a lot by SAR personnel.

Put a Yates Adjustable daisy chain on your haul bag. Clip the cam buckle to your anchor point. Clip an aider to the "pull" side of the Adj. daisy...stand up in the aider. Voile!
