Heylo fellow climbers,

Jus looking for anyone who wants to share a rope this weekend. Hell i would even like to go boulder too. Some ideas of where I feel like going are Pie Shop, Woodfords, and Sugarloaf. If bouldering, Sawmill Rd and Toltec sound good to me. Open to any new ideas or even adventures that may not involve climbing. I have gear but no car and am a safe and reliable partner. I even got some good beers to bring along. If youre looking for a fun time on the rocks or anywhere else in the mountains I'd enjoy sharing the experience.

Thank you,

Bruce McIntosh

Just want to let everyone know that this applies to any weekend in the future. i really just wanted a thread that local climbers could post on when trying to find a partner or info regarding south lake tahoe climbing

I'm just getting in from playing on ice this weekend . I just saw this- would like to go climbing sometime. I live in South Lake. Have been to Pie Shop and Lover's. New to the area but now have some more time to climb.

I would be interested in climbing with either one of you guys. I live in Reno currently but grew up climbing in So Lake and with a little notice am more than down to head to the lake and climb. Just hit me up with a PM.

Hello to all the south lake tahoe climbers,
I just wanted to notify our community of an excavation going on at the Pie Shop area. Someone has been diggin at the boulder with a v3 traverse by the warm up slab. it is one of the first boulders on the left side of the area. and i hope we can find the culprit and bring an end to this big mess. it has been going on for about a month and has gotten uglier since the start. some of the plants there may die and overall I don't want this to spread to other areas. Please call laura of the Forest service if you see someone excavating at this boulder her number is 530 263 7697. please only call her if you see the person who is responsible for the excavation. Thank you for your help in this situation and let me know if you want to go climbing sometime.

Peace

Thanks for the heads up Bruce! I heard about this last time I was down there, what a shameful and disrespectful thing happening right in your backyard. Wish I was down there to go climbing with you, in a few more months I will be!

BTW, everyone else, Bruce is a super nice dude as well as an enthusiastic, fun, and safe guy to climb with.

Peace!
Alex

Thanks Alex,
I look forward to seeing you again in the near future and going out climbing when you are back in California. Keep up the good work in school and enjoy the beauty of Montana. I can't wait to hear some stories of what you have been up too.

Best Regards,

Bruce

How's the weather/snow coverage been lately? I was thinking of trying to hit Lover's Leap one of these warm weekends or even another spot.

Hey people. I'm moving up from Berkeley in a couple weeks to live in SLT full time, year-round. I'll definitely bookmark this thread for climbing partners. I currently climb every other day, so I'm gonna be looking for people to boulder after workdays and sport climb on weekends.

Hey All,

I'm looking for climbing partners starting Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday (4/21). Lovers Leap, Phantom, Sugarloaf, Eagle Lake all sound good.

Thanks!
