If that happens, it would be awesome to climb Cap'm Pissgums and maybe make it up to the Black Canyon and/or Canyonlands at some point. 14 months? Damn, I better get to rehabing this! theyalwayscomeback wrote:I'm not posting up my goals here. Instead I drew them up in a checklist form and put them on the wall in the kitchen. I'll see the list every day, on my way to get a beer, or bacon, or brownies, or candy.... maybe I make some dietary goals too. One motivational component for goal setting is accountability, so posting them up here and letting other see, in addition to yourself seeing it daily on the fridge, could have some benefits! That said - 5.13 in 2013! Anyone have any golden words of advice for improving over a full number grade in a year? =P Honestly though, a few .12s are on my radar, and hopefully actually work/project a thing or few and find out where my limits really are - something I haven't really done much so far.

Short term... my goal is to get out of Florida (of which I am working the next 3-4 weeks) back home to the mountains of CO and climb some freaking ice! Long term get back to climbing 3- 4 days per month with some extended trips mingled in.

My personal goal is the climb a cumulative 10,000 feet outside this year...not easy to do in Dallas. That would kill my total of approx. 500 feet last year...not a good year last year. JB

quit being a sissy la la and lead every 5.10 I climb. Oh and lead a 5.10 OW. Specifically Y Crack in the Mcdowells needs to be knocked off my list (ya I know its a 5.9 it's hard) and Generator Crack needs to fall to me. Also same goal I had last year, climb one destination place a month. Even if it means making overnight drives there and back.

Kevin, good luck on the cancer thing, I've seen a bunch of people beat it. And if you haven't already, check out an organization called First Descents. Free camps, including rock climbing, for young adults who have or had cancer. Cool peeps, good times.

Zodiac in the late spring. Half Dome in a day. Serenity Crack and Sons of Yesterday link up, and something on Mt Russell. Lofty goals for a weekender... should be a good year.
