Has anyone taken a peek at the Silverplume ice? If so how's it look?

Friday morning, I went up to silverplume for a few laps before work. At 6am it was already gushing water, but starting to form up nicely. With this cold snap of the last few days, it might be frozen solid by now. Let us know what you find.

curious if any options had been added to the kitty-litter traverse downclimb vs. the rap-anchored-pebble retreat..?

Oh come on Kirra, don't you love manky rap anchors like the rest of us?

I was up there soloing around one day years ago when on the hike back down the creek I looked into the snow/ice and saw the remains of a bighorn sheep hide.

What really caught my attention was the frozen cat prints in the ice.....
Kind of made me look around a bit........

Haven't been there in years.

We were up there a week ago with our kids, just did the approach up to the main flow so they could practice walking in crampons without skewering themselves. There was a party on it, looked like plenty of ice.
Have fun.

Climbed it on Monday, good climbing on the left side, though the top kept my attention; pretty hollow, and a fair bit of rotten ice coming off before I was able to find good sticks. Screw placement at the top was less than confidence inspiring due to the ice condition.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
