i've pulled some of those self-drives before, they were surprisingly solid, though the hangers are shockingly thin.

Hey Scott, I must agree that self drives are pretty darn solid for how shallow the hole is. I figured I'd swap them while I was there due to their leeper hangers and their age. One of those was the only protection for a long section of slab at the top of pitch 4, where a bolt failure would be disasterous. :)

Some of the old hardware that was replaced. Dave Merin replaced the hardware on Pitches 1-3; Corrie Ellison and I replaced the hardware on Pitches 4-5.
