Arizona Camping/Backpacking/Climbing - Off the beaten path.
|
So I'm looking to go somewhere off the beaten path, preferably with beautiful views and lots of open space. I've had a couple of rough weeks and really need to get outside, as far away from the city as possible and kind of "ground" myself. |

May be too warm still but here's some info.. climbaz.com/Backcountry/bac… |

West Clear Creek. |

Galiuro Mountains or Sierra Anchas for backcountry backpacking. Not much climbing that I know of but you definitely won't run into many people. |

The Blue range north of Clifton/Morenci is quite stunning as well. Not sure about climbing though. |

Mark Mueller wrote:West Clear Creek.+1! Also, the suggestion of Sierra Ancha is good as well, although some areas require 4x4 to continue deeper into the wilderness. There are some amazing cliff dwelling ruins out there. |

WEST CLEAR CREEK is amazing! It's like a mini Zion Nat Park with out the people. or access. |
