Nice Spang! Seems like everyone does that sequence a little differently. Is that a cam hanging next to the draw?

twellman: yeah, I originally tried to put a piece above the move and then clip the pin before stepping over, but I didn't have the reach. I blew the piece when I pumped out and slipped off! I'd had to move it so I could use the hold it was in, and turns out the new placement just wasn't that good. what worked for me was to pull the move without trying to clip the pin first.

anyway, the point of all that was that I just reused the draw from the piece that blew, and the yellow alien was still clipped to it.

Go Spang! Looks like a pretty light rack, too. Confident.

When Joe Cote spoke of how nice this climb was his description was simply "Start at the triple corner, and follow the corner systems up; about 5.8 5.9 A1 or A2"...nothing about the P2 step DOWN and ACROSS.
You'll notice the beautiful corner up and left of the climber's left hand...that's where the attempted 2nd ascent went...until the nailing got to A-3 / A-4. I think it now goes as a 5.12 or so.
