I didn't think many of the photos really represented the flake. I noticed a lot of comments talking about easy face climbing; totally true. HOWEVER, if you are on it for the first time, I really doubt you will be out there. For the runout though, you can be in the chimney far enough that the only place you will be falling is further IN.

For the follower, the "easy face climbing" is more of an option. It is mostly bear-hugging the arete and inside edge, stepping into typical Lumpy Ridge scoops.
