Can we do the standard descent with one rope? or do we need two? I have seen conflicting and vague information on the web. Anyone have any first hand, recent beta for me? How "manky" are the intermediate anchors? How much downclimbing if using one 70m rope?

Single 60m, no downclimbing needed (Tie your ends, it is a stretch). Anchors are great as of 7/20/12.

Awesome.

A friend of mine kind of epic-ed up there because he didn't trust one of the intermediate anchors; but I think it was dark so they might have missed something. Is the descent fairly obvious (using the guide)? or is there a common way that people (and probably my buddy) mess things up?

The descent is really straight forward.

Scramble down the south facing "V" notch to the top of the K-Cracks (S. Buttress) to the first anchor.
Rap a full 100' to west side of obvious pillar (start of K-cracks)

Rap #2 anchor (60m just makes it)

Pingora rap 2.

Next one is on rappeller's right, you won't see it until almost there.

Rap #3 anchor

Rap anchor 3.

Rap #4 is on the SW side of the big obvious ledge you are cruising on.

Easy peasy.

Good stuff man. Thanks a lot. Hiking in this afternoon. Stoked.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
