I just returned from guiding in the Bugaboos over the busy long week-end. Attached you will find snow photos showing the current snow conditions on the glaciers.
There is still above average snow converge on the glacier for this time of year. That being said, snow is melting fast and crevasses are opening up. Snow travel was very good despite the lack of overnight freeze.
We enjoyed dry alpine rock on the Surf-up route and on the Northeast ridge of Bugaboo spire.
Enjoy summer!

David, This is the exact info I was looking for and more! Thank you so, so much... I am leaving in a week-- do you think I could get by with aluminum crampons or do you think I should stick with steel? Thanks!
I am not David, I simply copied and pasted his conditions report. You can find some older ones here: acmg.ca/mcr/archives.asp
In my experience of one trip to the Bugaboos, aluminum crampons are fine, you might need to baby them on the scree and rocks though. I took the front points off a pair of Sabertooths and strapped them onto trail shoes with some extra webbing.
