Hey Rob, when did the accident occur? If it was Sunday, especially late Sunday, chances are that your gear is still there. It rained here all day today. I live 15 minutes from the Leap; I could jam down there tomorrow before work and grab your stuff.

Someone standing behind you with a gun to your head forcing you to read Dereks amateur trolls? You can't take it? Really?

Thanks for all of the support guys. Your kind wishes and willingness pass on some gear are really appreciated. It's awesome to see that for every one jerk there are ten awesome people that have your back with out even knowing you. I hope we can drink a beer sometime on me.

Definitely if the gear isn't returned I'd be willing to replace it given the circumstances - I'm glad there are climbers out there who pitch in to help in an emergency, even if that means leaving gear to do so. Afterall, any of us could find ourselves in the unfortunate circumstances of a climbing accident.

Just got an email saying that my gear was retrieved and is headed back my way. A big thanks to Mikel for his help and generosity!

I saw the post on SuperTopo about the accident. Could you elaborate on what piece popped? I know the climb and that specific crux and was just curious about the gear?

Thanks and I'm glad to hear your friend is gonna be okay

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
