Denali
First question is, what is the youngest solo of Mt. Denali? |
Really? Come on man. |
it's fucking cold, you sled a bunch of shit, the mountain is no walk up, and then there's weather sometimes and maybe altitude illness, if you're lucky. Snow travel skills are a must; wait, make that snow survival skills. |
Yea you can probably leave your chalk bag behind as well. |
If you are actually serious. |

Youngest person to climb Denali is Merrick Johnston at age 12 some years back, now she is a super hot 28 year old that still crushes it. No such thing as soloing the West Butt.of Denali, unless you go in the off season (winter), I think something like 2,000 people are on the mountain between May and July. To solo Denali would probably mean shuttling more loads than a team. Denali and Sultana is on of the most expensive peaks to climb in AK, due to the permit cost. But, it's one of the best first Alaskan peaks to get on, due to the safety in numbers, beta for routes/weather/avi conditions, you can observe other teams tricks and set ups and there is a trail up it. It's a great mountain to bring your girl friend up, just bring lots of booze, bacon and baby wipes. |

Lots of booze, bacon & baby wipes. That might be the most complete gear list I've ever seen. |
