My partner blew her knee, so my schedule just blew WIDE OPEN! I was going to hit eastern sierras, but who knows now.

I'm keen for anywhere there is good weather and trad, preferably for an extended trip. I'm currently in Vegas (where I was going to pick up my partner), but it's hot as hell here and I'm keen for some place cooler.

Feel free to suggest some place entirely different, too!

I can't believe more of you would rather sweat your balls off in the police-state zoo known as Yosemite.

I'll be on eastside sierra from June 8-14 looking to climb easy/moderate alpine routes (5.9-) anywhere from Whitney to Toulumne. 619-8510205

Dunno what 5.9- means (less than one Igor?), but I'll see if I can contact you

Heheheh, no I think the problem is most CA climbers don't like alpine starts, slogging up hills, or hiking very far (unless they are peak baggers). I'm surprised how many trad climbers here think 1,000 ft of gain is a long approach to a climb. That's an easy warmup!

I'm always looking for alpine trad partners, although right now I don't have a car so unfortunately I can't meet up out there. Good luck getting high! It's a great range.

Yea Mark, I'm coming to the same, lame conclusion. I was definitely born decades too late.

Were I in Oakland I'd be your ride. I might hit Courtright (Fresno) later this year.

ahh, but then the crux is getting back. After this July I should finally have mobility for better alpine rompings!

Ball, I'll send you a PM later, as we might have some shared climbing interests in CA and out, and good alpine partners are a scarce commodity! Next year I'll be looking to do some of the more obscure & backcountry Sierra trad routes, and also stuff in UT, CO, WA, & Canada.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
