Close. But in actual fact: "She doesn't know himself..."
Or perhaps "He doesn't know herself?"

Ahww shucks... Let's just face it, no reason to believe a damn thing coming from that poster. The story keeps changing.

Some of you guys really crack me up. Well played JohnL.

camhead wrote:Hehe, all this talk about "what women REALLY mean," was what I was trying to address in my original post, when I mentioned that clausti was not passive aggressive, and does not really play mind-games. If she doesn't want me to climb (and there have been times like that), she tells me so. As for the "keeping score" on how often we get out, hell yeah, we both keep score. But, she manages to leave me on some weekends to go do this silly swing dancing thing fairly often, so the "keeping score" thing goes both ways. Oh, and after careful discussion with her– in which we mulled over all of y'all's valuable insights– we've decided that I'm going to go climb while she spends too much time in grad school. And yeah, I am making (and am going to make) it up to her in various ways :)
And you know she's going to send her project while you're riding horsies...or is that not what John was saying?

PTZ wrote:Is there any way you can do both? Go early and shoot back? We all know women. If she says she is ok with it, then she is not. She could hang this on you for a long time, you have to live with her. The route isn't going anywhere. You are about to be gone for a extended period of time. You want her happy. I am all for getting a project done, but this is called damage control. You have to have her as happy as can be when you leave. The ball is your court, make your wife and you happy if possible. This is what women do. Play mind games. Good luck with it.

doligo wrote: The perfect weather won't be there though... People are missing the important point - it's the East Coast, effin hot/humid/rainy/bug-infested now through early-October. Plus the OP has the psyche going - that thing could be a bit fickle too. No way! Actually see my weather comment above, who cares about climbing in Utah. JohnL, you better start packing - it's kinda a long drive for you...
doligo-really? Pretty sure on a regular basis I constantly see people from Colorado (more specifically from your exact area-climb with a big group of them frequently) climbing here in Utah. Pretty sure SLC might have more Colorado plates then actually Utah. Colorado is a beautiful place to climb, ski etc...however doesn't compare to UT...maybe if you disagree you should not take dirtbag trips through the Utah desert and spray about it.

My response to original post (if not too late): Stay with the lady-Utah is amazing as you know and the climbing is pretty epic. Understanding that you may not get the time wanted to work you're shit...however I do imagine you will find time to make it happen at some point.

The good thing about this: They all have pretty awesome dope...about it!!!

Oh, Colorodoans love climbing in UT! We'd move there, but we just can't stand the people...

Lets not turn this into a Colorado Vs. Utah thread. Instead of sitting in front of my computer screen all day arguing with people I don't know about stupid shit I'm off to go ski Snowbird followed by some evening climbing...amazing day here in LCC.

Have a good day guys!!!

clausti wrote: the OP's wife (that would be me) thinks it's funny. It's an inside joke from a very good friend, but even if you didn't know that it's obviously hyperbolic and humor. But I don't get how it's "demeaning to... women in general." It's an anal sex joke. About being cavalier towards the wishes of your sex partner.... in response to a hand-wringing, overly-concerned-about-the-wishes-of-your-sex-partner post.... explaining jokes isn't funny.
I nominate this for thread of the year award...it has it all! Inexplicable request for relationship advice, trolling, counter-trolling, and multiple references to, uh, unconventional techniques of bedroom recreation. Thanks y'all, I'm having a damn good laugh.

BTW, anyone crazy enough to solicit relationship advice in this forum is asking for a few fartbox comments. Hee-hah!

Edit: Oh, and regional spray too, see below!
