Can we all just agree Bear Grylls is a giant tool?

It's bear's fault because this person liked his show?I said "contributed to" not caused because there were many other factors at play. Sadly, some people do take his show seriously and he offers them many bad ideas about how to handle wilderness situations. |

I can accept that, but he should also make it clear what he's doing is totally staged, the only thing he's representing professionally is being an entertainer, and that what he is doing is solely for the entertainment purposes of a camera audience. |

No disrespect, but I'm keeping my opinion. |

A great TV producer and camera crew could take any of us out on our best days and have a finished product a few weeks later that make us look just as bad, or worse. The next time you're chilling to some reggae and smoking a cig at the bottom of a climb try to imagine how ridiculous it'd look in high-definition slow motion with a voiceover. So fine-- he TR'd a big route in the desert with a film crew. That's more than most weekend-warrior climbers will ever do. The guy may be totally over the top on his show, but there isn't too much doubt that he has a legitimate background in doing some pretty out-there stuff.agree |

Can we all agree on anything? |

I think we can all agree that we can't all seem to agree on anything! :) |

+1 Bear Grylls is an asshat. |

I don't care what the dictionary says, I refuse to believe "disorientating" is actually a real word. |

You can watch the "behind the scenes" here: theadrenalist.com/promotion… |

His chalkbag is clipped to the harness with a carabiner. C'mon man! |

Ah yes, the Bear Grylls debate...largely decided because of his termination with Discovery...but I couldn't agree more: |

I love the interview set for the bouldering video. It looked like Hard Copy or Inside Edition. I kept expecting a story about Kim Kardasian. But really, where is the deodorant being applied to underarms? Where are the ladies smiling? And some cigarette smoking and broom mustaches for that retro-70s ad look would be awesome. |

I wonder what it goes at if you free it.I know crap all about desert aid climbing, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's probably not a difficulty issue, but a rock quality issue. (except for possibly the "thin crack" on P2, which might be a combination of both issues). |
