What is your favorite carabiner for attaching ladders?
Just curious what everyone likes for their go to setup when attaching the aiders/ daisey when aid climbing. I figure it is a biner you are grabbing, moving, and clipping to nearly every piece for days on end and people would have strong opinions about what is best. I don't have an opinion yet, so sell me on yours. |

I just got the climb ax keylock ovals and used them this weekend and they were great. D's and other shapes are too small to fit daisys and ladders. And the keylock does not get hung up. |
petzl oval's. I think they're called "o wall's" or something. end of thread |
The Petzl Ovals. |
The big DMM ovals. Snagless, big and strong. Easier to grab than smaller ovals. |
Petzl O-walls. Expensive, but the keylock and large size are crucial. |

BD Oval Wires are my favorite. Good shape and I like the narrow profile because you can "fit" them in tight spaces and there is less biner popping or shifting. |
DMM ultra O are the bomb. large gate opening and super strong. Ultra O quick lock if you want a locker |
The CAMP compact oval handles pretty nicely. |
+1 Owall |
$6.95 for Mad Rock Oval Tech keylocks. Same/same? |
spirits or owalls for sure |
Massive fan of the DMM Ultra O |

I prefere small locking carabiners attaching my aiders to my daisy chains. Then I have BD hot wires also clipped into the aider to make leading and cleaning easier. |
