Will be based out of Klamath for ~6 months....trying to figure out where to climb up there. So far, I've got Lost Rocks, Promontory, and Footsteps nearby. Trinity Aretes, LOTL, other limestone within distance. |

Marbel Caves off of HWY 36 |

Blackbeard's Tears needs to be free climbed to the top; that would be a worthy FFA project. |

I'd say give Shasta Base Camp a call. They are going to be releasing an updated "Jefferson State" guide book this late spring/ summer. |

Castle Crags is wild and beautiful. |

Burney Limestone (AKA The Shredding), An amazing climbing area. Do Crank whore, great overhung climb. |

Nice...thanks for the replies! Hadn't really thought about the Shasta area, not sure how far it is from Klamath/Arcata. Castle Crags definitely looks sweet though. |

Trinity Alps has world class climbing, the reason for it not being a destination is the approaches (usually several miles), but it's all good back there, with plenty of FA's to go around. |
