This was the first free solo of Freerider right?

When did he do it? I must have been climbing and missed the news. But that is mind blowing. ;)

He's definitely a little out there, but I don't see many other people soloing the Alien Roof or highlining w/ no back up. I also think that Dean would be doing more or less the same stuff he is doing now even if he didn't have the sponsors he does (many of which he lost after climbing the Delicate Arch) Finally, comparing Dean to a pedophiliac priest? Forced and baseless.
Let me reiterate my issue with Dean Potter.

First off, I do not deny the fact that Potter is pushing the limits, and I enjoy seeing advances in climbing as well as base jumping. Like I said earlier, he is a "crazy mutha f*c*a." There are not many people that can keep that type of mind control while free soling 2000 ft off the deck.

Second, my analogy of the preist refers to someone who states they are doing good for the society, yet they are really are doing some form of bad. Yes, i'm refering to the Delicate Arch. Yes i'm referring to the hole counts. Yes i'm referring to many other things. Everyone deserves a second chance eh?

Third, he wouldn't be able to do a lot of the things he is doing without his sponsors. Traveling expenses, 5.10 sprinter vans, base jumping wingsuits, science testing, helicopter rides, 40 foot ramps... And i'm assuming that is why he has his sponsors.

And yes, I have read House's book. I'm going to have to change my profile pic to a downward dog pose, maybe i'll get different responses.

Yup thanks too my LSD, Magic Mushroom, MDMA, Ketamine, Mescaline, Crystal Meth, Marijuana disco dancing skateboarding up all night day upon day, week in week out month upon month for a few too many years at a time youth i somehow missed the class where they tough me how to spell, write in proper sentences with proper punctuation and all that jazz!

It sure was fun staring at the ceiling or watching the kid in front of me and teacher melt into one crazy form of wild colors and distorted sounds instead. The more amazing thing is i have been able to find my way happy as a clam through life thus far with no problems in regard to my spelling and grammar other than the occasional interweb forum spelling Nazi!!

Cheers ;)

Thanks Dusty for the link! No free solo for you Dean!!! Not yet at least ;)

I wonder who will nab the solo-Freerider ascent. Will it be Potter? will it be Honnold? will it be ....?
