taking gear at night???? is this normal???
|
i left 2 pieces on an easy climb.....i waited untill dark to leave..then i went back to my site....came back early the next morning to climb back up to said pieces....and they are gone... i asked around and someone told me they saw someone well after dark taking the pieces out of the wall....WTF???? i didnt want to do the scramble off on the dark.i think taking gear at night in a campground climbing area is ASSHOLE-ish...this happened at the belle campground in jtree on the night of the 28th...i want my gear back!!! and no...i wont offer beer....you shouldnt have taken them in the first place...... |

Prepare the lynch mob! |
|
lost... {[basically stolen]} gear! |
|
That's how I build my rack, plucking the plumes during late-night solo trips. I hit the easy climbs and clean up! |

jon vandub wrote: i didnt want to do the scramble off on the dark...I guess someone else didn't mind the scramble in the dark. Sucks about your gear but that's the way it goes. Leaving gear on an easy and often traveled route and then getting indignant when someone cleans up your mess for you seems to be a bit childish to me. Good luck with getting your gear back with that attitude! |

jon vandub wrote:i left 2 pieces on an easy climbWhy would you leave two pieces? Do you mean you bailed on them? Isn't that the definition of booty? Not saying I wouldn't give gear back, but asking nicely for booty to be returned would go a long way. Beer would go further. |

Is this a troll thread? Or are you actually being serious? |

I do some of my best drunk scrambling at josh in the dark. Love to watch the canine creatures circle the campground looking for weinerdogs. Stars are spectacular out there too... oh and whats this? a point seven five and thirteen stopper. Cool, what luck I am having tonight. |

litterbug. get beat up. |
|
You abandoned your gear and it got bootied........Too bad but that's the way it is. |

Nope. Rangers don't have to get out of their cars in order to cite you for abandoning gear and littering the cliffs...................Do Rangers booty? |
