Does anybody know of any interesting climbs (technical/non-technical) in Costa Rica? How about in Nicaragua? |
There was a pretty nice looking top-secret crag mentioned with pictures in a previous forum post on Costa Rica. Try searching for that one. |

There is more nicer areas to climb (technical/non-technical) in Guatemala. Costa Rica is expensive and very turistic... Nicaragua is cheap but nice. In feb/march me and a friend went up to somoto canyon, Nicaragua wondering if there was much to get into... We floated down this thing, and noticed a bunch of creep crawlies on the rock. Anyways we didn't push exploring that much. In my limited Spanish our guide was talking to me about a group of internationl folks who I think may have went in there trying to establish some stuff with bolts... but it was kinda unclear... Let me know if you wanna hook up with some climbers down there... |
