My favorite lead route at Old SS and one of my all time DL fav's. A way better alternative to Gargantua... Excellent pro all the way up.

Ah but the mantle on Gargantua is super fun! Or maybe I just like mantles. Ditto on the finish though, I came very close to flubbing the exit mantle while leading Gargantua and almost took a very exciting head over heals fall. Both routes are great though, and I've still got to get back and lead Tarantula.

Your sick Dylan.... no one really likes that flop move over Gargantua roof....... they just say they like it.....

That's one of my favorite moves in all of DL. I once led this in December and then the next time I led it was in the summer- and the holds were sort of greasy on the mantle move. For some reason or another my toe slipped off as I was pressing over and I "down campused" and let my right foot dangle and had to re-mantle in order to save myself from slamming into the boulder below. A very exciting lead but I do agree that Tarantula is also an exceptional lead.

I love Gargantua ... when I get it. And I hate it when I don't!

At some point in the future some poor admin-type is going to feel compelled to move this whole discussion over to Gargantua, you know.

Strong, I think that is just a 5.9 variation of Gargantua, also the beginning of Baker Street which climbs the face right of Gargantua.

Not much in the way of pro on Baker Street. Kinda soft for 10d at the Lake. Get after it Strong Dong! And Knapp too!
