Access Issue: Private Property! Details

The majority of Avery Drive is privately owned. The primary landowner has asked the local game warden to issue citations against people hunting on his land (early 2024) and since he does not want trespassing on his land he has put No Tresspassing signs up at the Lost City and Little Germany parking areas.

Parking in the substation area over by Vice Grips on the western end of the road is a known way of getting ticketed or towed by the city.

Description

Avery Drive has multiple individual areas for climbing on short limestone cliffs. These areas mostly consist of highball bouldering and lots of pumpy traverses, though some of the areas have short roped routes (2-5 bolts + anchors).

Getting There

Drive west of Chandler Park along Avery Drive. These areas include all rock between Chandler Park and Prattville on Hwy 97.
