That shade of pink definitely compliments the granite's tone... You could have drawn dicks instead of Xs for bolts and nobody would notice.

If you like dicks that much Boissal then go for it.

Halfway between the 170' rappel above the lunch ledge and the lunch ledge rappel itself: the shadows of the groove, above the chickenheads for S-direct, there is another bolted station.
This station landed us about 15 feet short of the lunch ledge rappel. Had to set up an interim anchor for easy down climbing to the rap.

Charlie, did you use a 60m or 70m?
By Charlie S From: Ogden, UT Nov 5, 2011
A 70m. Two BD #2's provided an adequate station to practically "walk" to the Lunch Ledge rap. A BD #3 would have been more desirable, however.

Do you have any corrections to my crude rappel topo Charlie?

I'm posting an edited picture with two additional anchors. Since we only made it up half way, I am in no place to critique the upper half of The Thumb.

Here is my crappy update to Lee Jensen's nice topo (Sorry I hijacked your topo Lee). We brought 2 ropes, and everything went pretty smooth. I think it took us about an hour to descend, and we were a party of 3.
