The sun nestles gently behind the welcoming ripples of stone and sand at Calico Basin in the Red Rock Canyon just outside of Las Vegas. From my place genuflected at the feet of these crumbling, proud red giants, I pensively take in an easterly view... silently humbled at the earth's magnanimous beauty. I am a rock climber.
