| Some route beta. Maybe some of this can get incorporated into the existing routes in the MP.com db already. I'll add the others when I get a chance if nobody beats me to it. I recommend not making up names for problems that don't have established names. A) "Jumpstart" V3 [5.11]: Lieback up the arete, finishing with a mantel straight over the bulge. B) (Unnamed) V7(?): Sit start the "Jumpstart" problem. Crux is the move getting into the stand start position C) (Unnamed) 5.8: Slab climb just right of the arete. Many eliminate the arete (same grade). D) "Amphitheater Traverse"(?) V2: Traverse the entire S. face of the Amphitheater boulder from Left to Right, starting on problem C and finishing on problem K. E) (Unnamed) 5.9: Slabby face. F) (Unnamed) 5.7: Slabby face with big polished edges. Obvious, easiest line on the face. G) (Unnamed) V0: Slabby face. Start with right hand on slick black crimp. Many variations. H) (Unnamed) V1: Thin, slabby face. Many variations. I) (Unnamed) V2: Thin, slabby face. Takes the steepest line through the bulge in the middle of the face. Inobvious and a bit contrived. J) (Unnamed) V1: Thin, slabby face. Hard start on polished feet. K) (Unnamed) V1+: Thin, slabby face. High-step start gets harder as dirt erodes. Thicker/stacked pads reduce the grade. L) (Unnamed) V4: Start squeezing the bulge and pull out left onto the slab. M) "One Cut Above" V4: Squeeze and slap up the arete to better holds and a rounded topout. |
