For those somewhat confused by the guidebook description (I was), here's the path the route takes. Start as for the End Direct, immedietly traverse right to jugs, up and left again to the arete on crimps. Follow the arete until you can move right into the juggy alcove. Straight up from there. Studiously avoiding all good holds on The End makes this feel 5.12a.

The End
Rhoads worked on this all day long and on his 4th try which was his last climb of the day he finished it. It was awesome. I took the picture from the top <br> as he was working up to it.
