Where are you climbing Memorial Weekend?

Just trying to get an idea of where not to go this weekend. I'm leaning towards a random crag in the splatte.

After the last two weeks on the front range, anywhere that's dry... but definitely NOT Shelf.
Rifle seems to be a pretty popular vote w/ the folks I know.

Well, I actually have a pretty nice little Saturday planned. I'm going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond... I don't know, I don't know if I'll have enough time.

Do you all think that Devils Head will be crazy busy on Memorial weekend? I have never climbed there so not sure how it will handle crowds or if it attracts the same amount of climbers as Eldorado.

There will be some folks around, but nothing even close to crowded. Most walls will be wide open, it will be easy to find walls all to yourself. The most crowded area will be the Lower West Side, as it has half the approach of the top; but even then I'll bet maybe 10-15 people at the most strung out amongst 8-9 separate crags.

Mike. No disrespect but you seem like you have been around a while. :) I could use your experience.

This weekend is my birthday and all I want to do is go and climb with a couple friends (this sounds pathetic). This always is a challenge because of the memorial weekend crowds and spring weather. I don't mind other climbers but don't want ferocious crowds where we might feel guilty for taking our time on climbs. We wanted to go climb some routes at Lumpy Ridge but don't know if that will happen with the questionable weather. I always love a day in Eldorado but wonder if it will be really crowded. Where do you think the better options would be given I can hardly seem to motivate anyone to go for a day let alone over night (lame)?

If Taos means climbing at El Rito or Tres Piedras, good luck dodging the Los Alamos Mountaineers and folks from Salt Lake. I'd also stay away from the Tower.

I'm a hella better at spraying than doing! Dude, look at all the 4star routes at DH, and read folks postings. You'll have a killer time up there, guaranteed (unless it rains).
Judging by your profile, head for C+++ ; and hit all the other routes at Crag Ranch, Starcastle, Red Wall........

Also, feel free to pm Tzilla or even me to hook up with the crews.
