Resole time?
|
This is my first pair of rock shoes and since they stretched a bit I relegated them to gym and loaner use to my brother who's feet are just a bit larger than mine. He has roped up like 2-3 times only and has much worse footwork than me (yeah, I'm still learning but started better off than his). I think these both got worn through during a day of his following on some Alabama Hills slabs, as I never saw them as even being thin before that trip. |

Looks like they're ready for some half-soles. Wait too long and they can't be resoled (my understanding). The Rubber Room in Bishop does a good job. |

They need to be resoled in my opinion, and may already be damaged. I cannot tell if the toe is worn thin in one spot or if it is just a chalk mark, but you may need new toe caps as well. I would have resoled much earlier, but I resole my shoes many times and do not want them to get damaged. |

I would resole them as well. It will give the shoes longer life in the long run. I recommend Rock and Resole in Boulder, CO. |

Well, I'll be mailing them off to Yosemite Bum ($10 off through 4/30) as they'd be worth keeping around for long stuff, gym and loaners. |

Definitely resole time, They might need a rand job as well as it's very exposed and might be warn thin. I just got 3 pairs of shoes back from YosemiteBum at the beginning of the week, two of them got rand jobs. I haven't got to climb on them yet, but the quality of the work looks awesome. |
