Minnesota Cimbing Co-op is now open!!
|
There is a new bouldering gym in the Twin Cities located in NE Minneapolis. The Minnesota Climbing Cooperative is open for business in the historic Thorpe Building at 18th and Central Ave. Stop by any night this week from 5:00-10:00 for open climbing and to check us out. A daily pass is $10 and monthly, quarterly, and yearly passes with 24/7 access are also available. Check the website for pictures and more information. You can also post questions here and I will do my best to answer them. |

Hey I checked the website and it looks like there is a lot of cool blank walls but no holds on them. Are there routes set now or do we have to set our own before we climb? |
|
There are a lot of problems set but I didn't have any pictures of the wall in action on my camera. We were all too busy setting and cleaning this weekend to snap shots! There are problems ranging from V0-V12 right now with the majority in the V4-V5 range and more are being set every day. You will find plenty for whatever level you climb. |

AWESOME! I wish so much that I still lived in the Cities and could be a Co-Op member. Next time I come to town I am gonna have to come see this. Nice Work! |

How are the walls finished as they look really nice? |

You definitely need some volumes. They have these at my local gym. |
|
they already have a few volumes. they plan on making their own. i'm sure some will be donated, too. doubt folks will donate momentum volumes; being in the twin cities, most folks buy nicros. |

RAD! |

Jason, during Open Hours you can climb for only $10, no membership required. The $20 lifetime membership means you don't have to fill out the waiver form every time you visit, plus you can purchase an access pass to climb 24/7. Access passes are available in monthly, quarterly, six-month, and annual increments. You can purchase a membership and access pass on our website with a Paypal account or in person during Open Hours. The Co-op will have open hours 5-10pm M-W this week and most likely some additional days as well. Check our website for upcoming hours and events. You can also PM me and I can sponsor you as a guest for a Friday night if the regular open hours don't work for you. |
