The 1st ascent took this line up the arete. Not sure who envisioned going into the chimney, but as Michael indicates staying on the face/arete is sweet. Both lines yield essentially the same level of difficulty.

I wouldn't have envisioned going into the chimney either, but I don't climb a lot of trad. I suspect, if you did, that would be the obvious route..lol.

A variation of the crux sequence, staying on the arete only. I loved this variation, although there was some loose material on the left.
