I would like to find out the conditions of the 4th of july mine trail.

Will I be able to skin up the road or drive up the road to the trail head? What are the snow conditions like? I was planning on playing atop S. and N. Arapahoe.

I haven't been up there lately, but I doubt you can drive past the pavement at Eldora.

Historically (which I know is only semi helpful) you have a ~4mi skin to reach the summer trailhead. Luckily it's pretty easy terrain on the road.

Have fun, the traverse is awesome in the snow.

Haha, Historically I have gotten a vehicle stuck in the snow once a year on that road. =)

That area is one of my favorites. Just wondering what the area is like rite now. I unfortunately have not been their in a couple months. =(

That trail crosses several large and dangerous avalanche paths.

Ah, so you're the guy that historically tries to drive in and ends up ruining the skiing for the rest of us? =)
