Orthopedic/Spinal Surgeon recommendations

Anyone care to recommend an orthopedic or neurosurgeon who does good work on spines? Prefer one in the NW Denver/Boulder area, but will take any suggestions. I don't care about their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, shoe size, or even if they're a Raider's Fan... as long as they do good work, I'm interested.

Thanks, y'all.

No idea what you're looking for, but I'll tell you what I'm on deck to get and who I'll be using. I'm getting an L5-S1 fusion this winter (hopefully) or early spring, and after researching info on about two dozen docs - including web info, word of mouth, past patients - and visiting 6 of the surgeons to feel them out, I decided on Dr. E. Lee Nelson at Boulder Neurological Associates. I've spoken to doctors that have assisted on procedures in the OR with many different spine specialists and they have said Dr. Nelson knows his stuff and that he's the guy they'd want operating on them (they also gave me names of docs whom they wouldn't let touch them, so I feel they're pretty honest about it). Good luck to you.

Thanks, Erik W. I'll look into him. I appreciate your reply.

And best wishes for a successful surgery and outcome. I had my C6-7 fused in 2007, and I'd use the same surgeon again in a heart beat, but he is in Phoenix, and the logistics of that would be... complicated.

At the moment, I don't know what's going to happen (or even what, exactly, is wrong)... symptoms are similar to how my neck/arm felt, but this time it's in my low back/leg. Might be nothing, but I'm a little gun-shy about ignoring it, given my past history, ya dig?

Check into Dr. Prusmack or Dr. Choi. Last I heard they were both working out of the HCA system in Denver, so Rose, Sky Ridge, etc. Other end of town from you, but I would highly recommend their work.

Sounds like sciatica issues....
