Just wondering how the guy is doing? We were up the canyon on Brownstone Wall and heard the fall and aftermath. Guy was banged up pretty bad, heli came and evacuated him from the base. Having that heli whipping around in there was quite.....unnerving to say the least. But dang can those guys fly!!

Talked to some of the folks that helped get him down, good folks for sure. Sounds like he was simul-climbing a bit off route and broke a hold. Took a 40 footer and broke bones, shed some blood and possible back injury.

I'm not trying to start a mud throwing thread, i just want to make sure the guy is ok, that is all.

Saw you on Brownstone Wall. My wife and I were on Jackrabbit Buttress, just below you. I wasn't able to establish any communication with the parties on CC, but called 911 after I heard someone clearly yell "does anyone have a cell phone...call 911." Impressive flying by the pilot and impressive work by the parties on the wall in getting the guy to the ground. Hope he's doing OK.

He's okay, banged up, but okay. I will let him tell the story when and if he's ready.

Glad to hear he isn't in too bad of shape, here's to healing up and getting back out on the rock!

I hope he makes a speedy recovery!

I'm headed to RR tomorrow and was planning on doing CC sometime over the weekend. Does anyone know where he went off route at? Going off route on sandstone would scare the sh!t out of me.
