Man, theres a yellow rat that lives in a very beautiful bivy/climbing spot in RMNP. I have no photos, but he's big..and he's MEAN!

Jays are tougher to catch.

Don't get mad. Get even.

Mmmm, squirrels are good eatin' too. Much like rabbit flesh. Campsite grilled wild meats, caught illegally in the national parks, can lead to some hefty fines and jail time I'm sure.

suprising accurate, mosquitos are the the root cause of the most human deaths at over 2 million per year.

My vote for worst resident: the copperhead I went nose-to-nose with on a ledge about midway up the first pitch of Hawk in the Gunks. I was on 5.easy ground and had no gear in -- was planning to put something in once I got to that ledge. Managed to climb over and run it out some more. My partners sometimes wonder why I place gear on 5.easy terrain.... snakes, man, snakes.

I met that sneffelhound or his cousin under in a boulder bivy below Spearhead. I broke my camera trying to get the gear away from him. That's why there are no photos of this thing, crafty little devil: Bushy Tailed Wood Rat.

But my vote is for the killer bees. The only 'bees' I've had sting me near a climb are the ground nesting yellow jackets.

Oh and I've brushed a copperhead off a hand hold thinking it was a stick!

Eldo Pigeons - Maybe not the worst, but worth a nomination.

Bats are also worth a nomination - yea they normally only leave stuff around and chirp at you, but if you get bit it is a bad situation.

Praise "Bob!" I hated that guy.
