Is that a Whillains Sit Harness? I learned to climb and failed and bailed on Half Dome in one of those. Even a couple real falls. Never took the great, castra-slicing center stroke in one, but it was always in the back of my mind. Why, pray tell, would anyone design a harness with a strap smack over your package?

Oh yeah, they were just about the only game in town back then! When you think about it now, and look at the current harness, it really is hard to believe anyone though this idea was any good.
