September conditions? It looks to me like this could be an old photo, September of what year? I'm curious how the route is holding up in these recent temps.

This picture is roughly dated about 1990. It was the third week of Sept., whatever year it was. The Black Ice has come and gone and come again, in recent years, but even in the leanest times it's seen ascents.

ice looks plasticky. Nice "historical" photo (1990 was more than 20 years ago!)
