If you pick them up and tilt them at all or make them pee it can be VERY detrimental to these guys. Not criticizing, just informing for others to try and take there photo opts at ground level if they can :)

Yeah... tortoises piss themselves as a defense mechanism when they are pciked up/attacked. The smell us too much for native predators t to continue trying to pry the shell open. However, this same defense can also KILL the tortoise due to dehydration! PLEASE LEAVE THEM AS YOU FOUND THEM.
