Sometimes climbing is better than sex, and sometimes sex is better than climbing, I would say they are mutually important.

TucsonAZ wrote: Ejaculating lowers your testosterone so I'm not sure how you feel about your climbing but if it's sucked you can blame the sex. Funny, I could have sworn it was faily neutral, but sexual engagement in general increased it. Is this one of those tantric myths?

If my husband wanted to get giggy right before I go climb, my response would be something like, "Seriously?" Lucky for me, he's an avid hockey player and understands this. Unspoken rule: Climb first, cocktails second (or while climbing), sex third. Hockey first, cocktails second, sex third.

sex can be substituted with masturbation, and climbing can be substituted with bouldering.

I climb to get laid. Doesn't everyone? Sweaty, un-showered guys with bloody, chalk covered hands are certainly more important than the climbing...buts thats why I work so hard to climb v7.....

Maybe I'm a freak... but... I would trade my left nut to be able to climb in Tuolumne and Clark Canyon for the rest of my life.
