Hi Alma,
thanks for all the work, great programming!
I've got one question: I'm from Germany and I think a translated version would be a good thing for all the other German climbers. If you could send me the text-snippets you used, I will translate them as fast as possible.
And one minor feature request: A symbol for cam/nut-placement would be splendid.
Keep up the good work!
P.S. My Nikon saves images with .JPG instead of .jpg, and I think quite a few of other cameras do too. Could you make your "open"-dialogue accept images with .JPG?

It does open files with .JPG extension for me on both windows XP and Mac OS X.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm running Ubuntu Linux, so that might be the problem. It doesn't show files with .JPG in the "open file"-dialogue.

Hi Alma,
Are you still working to improve this program ? :o)
If you do, I've just discovered a problem for you to solve:
When I want to move around a "selected" feature, if the cursor crosses another element (a line or anything else) it looses focus.

Not a big deal, but I thought that this thread deserved a bump anyway...

Thanks for letting me know. I need to get back on this. I have just been swamped for the last few months with work and all my other projects.

Fun, cool program! I would love to see features for cracks, corners and aretes.

Probably unintentional, but has anyone else noticed that if you save a file with an object still selected the red highlight is saved along with the object?

I like it:

Just an awesome program. So much easier (and better) than trying to do the same in a standard photo editor.

Thanks!

Hey Alma, as everyone else has said, great job! I like using the software you created.

That being said... :) I'm finding the same issue as above about the loss of focus (dragging one element and having the cursor cross another element drops the initial element you were dragging.)

Also, if I save a file and then re-open and import the layer data, I have a very hard time moving any objects. If I click around on the screen, I can usually find a spot that will allow me to drag an object, but I have to click around a bit. Basically editing after closing and re-opening has some problems.

Thanks again for the hard work!
Paul

Hey Alma, awesome program man!

I don't see a way to scroll around the image when I'm zoomed in? Is that just me missing something or is that not possible?

Question can you select a different color line?
I am using pics and overlaying lines and such in different colors.
So that you can differ routes. Say for instance 5.9 as blue and 5.11 as yellow and so on.
One more question does your program work for boulder problems?

Hold the spacebar down and click and drag.

You CAN change the color of the route lines. You can also use this software for boulder problems.

I just re-read this and like the solid work you guys (ie, Alma) have done. Early on, someone asked for an option for an arrow icon. Maybe I missed it but has that been added?

I tried to save a topo and the program stalled and closed without saving it. Any help with how to recover it? Where should I look to find it?

I like the program, but it seems to crap out on me in various ways a lot. One problem is when I make an overview topo of a crag I am developing, everything is fine at first, but when I open it a couple months later to add routes the data files always seem to be corrupted so I can't add anything new, or only a few things like some type, but not a route line or anchors, so I have to do the whole thing all over again. I can select features and change colors for instance, but not do anything new. Do other people have the same issue and is there anything I need and can to do to correct that?

Nice topo, but was there supposed to be a comment along with it?

I still can't pan. Ideas? (The hand shows up when I hit the spacebar, but I can't "close" the hand to move it around.)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
