The last time I saw my camera, it was flying out of my partner's hands onto the glacial apron above the Mills Glacier, fourth toe of rock from climber's left of the North Chimney. I'm sure the camera is busted as it was crap to begin with, but I would REALLY love the pictures we took on the Diamond as it was a double-first for both of us. Camera is a Canon Powershot in a black case with a strap-velcro attachment and lots of climbing pics (yes, yosemite) on it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, let me know if you find it. We looked for it,but finding a camera in a talus field . . . well . . .
Same sort of thing happened to me in the Black on Russian Arete last year. I know the camera is shot but the memory card may have survived.
Can you be more specific where you think it might be? In talus or snow? How far left of North Chimney or Crack of Delight? Where were you when it dropped. It may be next to my partner's belay device. He (with my help) dropped it on our second rap off the diamond recently. I may be up there in a few days so I will look.

was it the same partner that dropped the 4.5 camalot in tuolumne? if so, buy that person some velcro hands or something! all kidding aside, hopefully somebody will find it. and hopefully there won't be any naughty pictures on it (unlike that camera that somebody found in boulder canyon last spring...)!
No, not the same partner who dropped the 4.5. Luckily it was his 4.5 and not mine.
We were just below the bivvy ledge on the Yellow wall in the dihedral. The camera was last seen bouncing off of the toe of granite approx 100m climbers left of the North Chimney. It is unknown as to whether or not it shot into the bergschrund or down onto the snow, we couldn't see it at that point.
I can say authoritatively that there are no dirty pictures on that camera unless Yosemite and Bishop get you off on principal.
Ah come on. You couldn't find a black case in the talus? I once dropped my belay device from about the 2nd rap coming back down the diamond and my partner found it in the talus below.
